Warehouse Operations Manager
Full Time, Salary-Exempt, On-Site, Durham, NC.
American Party Rentals (APR) is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our dynamic and growing
team. American Party Rentals is a local, family-owned, and operated business that began serving the Triangle
community in 1989. Operating under the second generation of family ownership since 2013, brothers Todd
and Chad Daymont consistently strive to build upon APR’s reputation as a leader and innovator in the Triangle
special events scene.
As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient
functioning of our warehouse. You will oversee a team of warehouse staff, manage inventory, maintain
equipment, and ensure timely deliveries to meet client needs. This is a dynamic and demanding position that
requires excellent people, management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Key Expectations:
• Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members
• Motivate and lead warehouse staff
• Monitor KPIs for warehouse staff and use data to maximize performance and efficiency
• Identify and resolve problems proactively
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve warehouse processes, efficiency, and overall performance
• Minimize costs
• Optimize space utilization
• Ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Monitor equipment condition and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Manage delivery schedules and ensure timely arrival at event locations.
• Coordinate with drivers and event setup teams.
• Address any concerns about equipment condition or functionality.
• Implement and maintain warehouse safety protocols.
• Conduct regular audits and inventory checks.
• Analyze operational data and identify areas for improvement.
• Research and implement new technologies and systems to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Job Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse management role. Experience in the event rental
industry a plus.
• Proficient in computer software including inventory management systems and scheduling tools.
• Forklift certification and experience operating other warehouse equipment is a plus.
• Ability to speak, understand, and/or read Spanish is a plus.
